Hand Puppet Skills Workshop
Create a unique hand puppet of your very own that you get to add character and design to from a form made by instructor Adelka Polak. Learn how to bring your new character to life with your own hand, breath and expressions. Join us and find your whimsy in the process of making puppet art! This workshop is intended for adults, although children are welcome to attend, but their caregiver must buy their own ticket/seat to the session as well. Everyone leaves with a puppet of their own.
This workshop was a great success when taught at the Kent Art Association recently during "State of the Art: CT Puppetry" exhibition in July 2026. Here we will build more character as we added an extra hour to the session in order to allow us to observe, learn, create and then breath life into our work! The layering is thrilling and a wonderful challenge to work on individually and be inspired by those around us.
